Southwold has a magical East Anglian skyline and enduring charm that surpasses many of its coastal counterparts. Alluring to many visitors including artists and writers, it's an ideal setting for the Southwold Literary Weekend, run by the Ways With Words festival organisation.
Over the long weekend visitors can make the most of around 20 guest authors as they take part in lectures, discussions and readings. Guests in 2009 include Roy Hattersley, Libby Purves and Martin Bell, among others.
