Carpet your throat in a fire of fruit and honey with drams of Glenfiddich, Glenlivet and other single malt whiskies at the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival. There are masterclasses and tours of Scotland's top distilleries every year.
There are 100 or so distilleries tucked away in the heather and barley fields near the salmon-filled River Spey, beyond the Grampians. The area has the top-quality barley and pure spring water necessary to make the best single malt whiskies.

Speyside has a unique Malt Whisky Trail with many world-renowned distilleries like Glenfiddich or Glenlivet and many that are usually closed welcome guests during the festival. Attend whisky tastings and dinners in the distilleries and a sprightly ceilidh dance in the evening to shake off a stupefying whisky haze.
