The Northern Ireland Festival of Racing takes place each year at Down Royal Racecourse. It is renowned for hosting some of the best National Hunt Racing in the country. Make sure you book your tickets in advance.
There are 11 race meetings per year at Down Royal Racecourse. The Governors Cup race, which began in 1928, draws the crowds on May Day. In July the course is host to the Guinness Ulster Oaks and the popular Ulster Harp Derby, and Boxing Day is also a popular meet.
